October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and SWCC, in partnership with volunteer IT professionals, proudly announces its newest program, CyberSuccess! that aims to introduce underprivileged 4th-5th grade girls into the fast-growing field of internet technology and cyber security.
The initial pilot will offer 1-hour classroom sessions, twice a week over a 4-week period. Participants will learn basic keyboarding, MS Word and Excel skills, and will be given the opportunity to help develop the next level of learning. All students participating in a minimum of 7 of the 8 sessions will be given a FREE, refurbished laptop* to continue their learning at home.
Enrollment is now open for the limited 8-10 openings for this inaugural learning series. Sessions are scheduled to start Wednesday, November 7th.
