Susannah Wesley Receives National Reaccreditation

Susannah Wesley Community Center is proud to announce that we have achieved national reaccreditation through the New York-based Council on Accreditation (COA). Accreditation is the agency’s commitment to quality services, best practices for our organization and client services. Susannah Wesley has been accredited for the last 17 years. Accreditation is a result of a previous agency strategic plan goal to “seek to operate at the highest level”, organizationally and programmatically.

“COA accreditation is an objective, independent, and reliable validation of an agency’s performance. The COA accreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of an organization’s administration, management, and service delivery functions against international standards of best practice. The standards driving accreditation ensure that services are well-coordinated, culturally competent, evidence-based, outcomes-oriented, and provided by a skilled and supported workforce. COA accreditation demonstrates accountability in the management of resources, sets standardized best practice thresholds for service and administration, and increases organizational capacity and accountability by creating a framework for ongoing quality improvement.”

Richard Klarberg, President and CEO
Council on Accreditation

Susannah Wesley Community Center has been re-accredited for the following program services: Youth Development, Child and Family Development, Workforce Development and Case Management.

Although the formal accreditation process has been completed, our work is far from over; COA accreditation is not an end in and of itself. Rather, it is a process by which our organization can consistently strive for and achieve new levels of excellence. Your continued support will allow us to better serve our mission. We wish to thank all stakeholders that have been instrumental in helping us to achieve and maintain this significant accomplishment.Print

Why I love Susie…

The kids influence me to be a good coach and I can’t be a good coach without a good education, it’s kind of lead by example.
